Tuesday’s selection won at recommended odds of 4/1 and there’s another selection for Wednesday’s all-weather action at Kempton.
Simon Dow’s yard are starting to hit some form with three winners from their last eight runners and the Surrey trainer has a fascinating contender in the Class 6 7f handicap at Kempton on Wednesday evening.
Mont Kiara made a winning start for this yard less than a year ago from a handicap mark of 72. That run came at this venue over six furlongs and while he’s been largely disappointing subsequently, failing to place in his next nine starts, he bounced back to form in good style over this trip at Lingfield last time out.
With just a 3lb rise to cope with for that success, he’s obviously still very well-handicapped on plenty of his form from the past couple of years and the key to him could be the step up to 7f that he needs these days.
The BTO top-rated selection is available to back at an early price of 15/2 and while his lack of consistency is a cause for concern, his opening price makes up for that; particularly from an ideal draw (1).
