Consistent Type Has Conditions To Suit
Gerald Mosse rides LADY DANCEALOT for David Elsworth in the 32 Red Handicap this evening and the filly, who wasn't beaten far off this mark in a Class 3 Newbury handicap 11 days ago has a decent chance at the 6/1 available on the exchanges. She has run 13 times in total, with her efforts producing two wins and seven places. One effort where she was out of the first three was over five furlongs of tonight's course a year ago, her only previous run on the all-weather. On the face of it, the performance, a fourth, beaten over five lengths doesn't look too good, but, backed to favourite, she could have taken the race. Slowly away, she was pushed really wide by Haveoneyourself and rounded the bend at least a dozen lengths down and closer to the stands than the inside rail. Her pilot, Silvestre de Sousa, then rode her home without hitting her and she made up seven or eight lengths in the last furlong. The three-year-old won off a mark of 78 on her penultimate outing and goes off 2lbs higher today, the same as in her latest race at Newbury, and six furlongs is her distance. BTOPlus+ puts the daughter of Sir Prancealot top of its regular ratings and awards her a full 11 positives, including a trainer/jockey combination that is 127% better than expected. KAMRA, with eight positives and being backed, looks next best but this lady certainly isn't a tramp.
