Conditions Ideal For Four Year Old On Favourite Course
Yorkshire trainer Rebecca Bastiman had campaigned LOGI on the all weather in the Autumn and Spring without much success but a switch to turf at Hamilton in May has certainly changed his profile. He had actually run well four outings ago at Wolverhampton in the middle of April when sixth, beaten just over two lengths to Bobby Joe Leg but improved on that when sent to Hamilton for a Class 4 event in the first week in May. He was runner up to Rapid Applause at an unfancied 20/1 and then dotted up over six furlongs of the course twice in the same month on good to firm. Everything is the same today, including claimer Jamie Gormley, apart from an obvious rise in the weights - he goes off a mark of 77 against the 72 of his last race and win. It should be manageable. BTOPlus+ places him top on regular ratings with an impressive nine positives. Apart from ZYLAN, his rivals all have BTO negatives of one type or another, though ALEEF and AFANDEM get some nice positives. Logi should be backed at 2/1.
