Quick Return To Produce Win For De Sousa Mount
It was just last Wednesday at Kempton that BOMBERO ran fourth, beaten under a couple of lengths to Paddy A in a one mile three furlongs event. This was following on from a runner up position on his seasonal reappearance at the Lincoln meeting in March and he looks primed today for a successful run. Significantly, he has won on heavy ground like today's - at Nottingham last August over today's mile and a quarter. That was off a mark of 58 and he goes off 66 today, the same as in last week’s race, so a win this afternoon looks well within his compass. He is second on BTOPlus+ regular figures to Fast And Hot and gets six decent BTO positives. These include the 58% better than expected performance of his Sire's (Dragon Pulse) progeny at the distance, his trainer Ed de Giles 18% over course and distance and the latter’s 20% win rate when teaming up with champion Silvestre De Sousa. A good few of the layers are offering 2/1 about Bombero and that looks worth taking.
