Another Quick Return To Pay Dividend For Multiple Scorer
After 134 races, it might be reasonable to think that nine year old ROY'S LEGACY would have lost some enthusiasm, especially in a cold winter away from a nice warm stable. He decries any such thoughts with his performances, however, and in his last outing, just five days ago at Chelmsford, he just failed to get the better of La Fortuna and record the twentieth win of his career. In failing by a neck to win that race he overcame a wide draw to lead in the final furlong before keeping on resolutely to be pipped close home. That was off a mark of 50, the same as today and just two pounds up on his last victory, here over course and distance in December. Again. he ran on gamely there to beat Something Lucky (winner of three races since) in a photo finish. Charlie Bennett takes the reins and three pounds off as has done in six of the horse's last seven outings. BTOPlus+ has Roy's Legacy top on speed and third on regular ratings and gives him a multitude of positives, such as trainer Shaun Harris' 24% better than expected with seven day returners. Another horse to make a quick reappearance, SIR HARRY COLLINS, looks a threat and DE VEGAS KID has a lot of BTO positives in his favour. Betfair and Paddy Power have Roy at a best 4/1 this morning.
