First In The Last At Wolverhampton
Charlie Fellows' BRUNY ISLAND, a previous inmate of Mark Johnston, has run 14 times and has got his head in front just once, at Chelmsford last year. He is, however, running really well at the moment, being placed in the four runs he has had this summer. His latest effort was off this mark of 59 over course and distance when he ran second to Beadlam, beaten a neck just six days ago. The third and fourth, Satchville Flyer and Black Truffle were both beaten under two lengths in their previous races so the form is at least decent for this kind of event. BTOPlus+ has Bruny Island top on speed rating and third on regular and gives the gelding three nice positives, including two for jockey Josephine Gordon. The horse can be easily backed at 7/4.
