Imperial Aura won't be heading to Kempton on Boxing Day for the King George VI Chase, according to Kim Bailey.
The seven-year-old was an impressive winner in a handicap at the Cheltenham Festival in March, and he made a fine step up to Grade Two company earlier this month.
He looked a class above when beating Itchy Feet by five lengths in the Chanelle Pharma 1965 Chase at Ascot.
Talk after that triumph had turned to a potential Boxing Day outing at Kempton, however, Bailey insists that isn't in the plans.
"His season's target is the Ryanair, and that's what he'll be geared up to," said Bailey.
"He'll either run at Kempton or Ascot next, but the King George is not part of that equation."
