Trainer Henry de Bromhead says Notebook will aimed at run at Leopardstown over Christmas after winning at Naas on Saturday.
The seven-year-old crossed the line to win the Grade 2 Poplar Square Chase for his fifth win from his last six starts.
It was the German-born bay gelding's first appearance since March but managed to fend off competition from Fakir D'oudairies to claim the race win.
A strong end to the race saw jockey Rachael Blackmore negotiate the final few fences masterfully and he eventually won by 12 lengths.
Now, De Bromhead has big plans in the pipeline for his charger, with a Christmas outing at Leopardstown the key target.
"He was a little bit rusty over the first few, but then jumped really well and stayed at it really well," said De Bromhead.
"It's good to see him back to form. I'd say he'll go to Leopardstown at Christmas. He loves it around there and has won two Grade Ones there. Rachael said he took a blow at the fourth-last and hopefully he'll come on for it. I'm delighted with him."
