Serpentine has become Aidan O'Brien's fifth runner for Sunday's showpiece race at ParisLongchamp.
Irish trainer O'Brien already had Mogul, Japan, Sovereign and Love, who is second favourite with many bookmakers, taking part in the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe this weekend, but a fifth member of his team will now be making the trip.
Serpentine, who produced a sensational performance to win this year's Derby at Epsom by five-and-a-half lengths, has been added to the field at a cost of 72,000 euros in Wednesday's supplementary entry stage.
The three-year-old chestnut colt followed up that runaway victory with a fourth-place finish in the Group 1 Juddmonte Grand Prix De Paris at ParisLongchamp on September 13, as stablemate Mogul claimed the spoils that day.
O'Brien was impressed enough with Serpentine's display to expand to a team of five for the Arc as the quintet look to get the better of the John Gosden-trained Enable, who will attempt to become the first horse to win the race three times.
