Trainer Jedd O'Keeffe has revealed stable star Sam Spinner could be back in action in October this year.
The eight-year-old has not been since December after suffering a pelvic injury.
Sam Spinner made it three wins in a row over fences at Doncaster on December 14 when proving too strong for Windsor Avenue.
Previous wins at Wetherby had got him into a good position ahead of the Cheltenham Festival, but a training injury meant he was ruled out for the rest of the season.
O'Keeffe believed he was at 'peak condition' six months ago, but he could be back in action in October according to the North Yorkshire handler.
He told reporters: "He's great. His time in the field is coming to an end next week, and he will start doing some gentle exercise and some rehab exercise work in accordance with advice from the vets.
"Hopefully, we'll be cracking on and having him ready to run mid or late October."
