William Buick is desperate for racing's return and feels all his fellow jockeys will be feeling the same way.
Racing, like most sports, has been off the agenda since March 17 but the schedule has been set for it to resume next week.
The British Horseracing Authority is still awaiting the Government's approval to confirm the restart but the plan is there, and Buick is desperate to get back to work.
The 31-year-old will not have to wait long for his first big-race opportunity as he is set to partner antepost favourite Pinatubo in the QIPCO 2000 Guineas at Newmarket next weekend.
"I've been keeping fit as I would normally, riding out most days and I've got a gym set up at home. That's been good for keeping fit, so that's something I'm not really worried about," he said.
"I am looking forward to getting back to the daily routine."
Buick has no qualms about racing in the current climate and is convinced that all jockeys will feel the same to help cement the return of the sport.
He added: "I think everyone is very positive and very realistic towards it – I think you just all have to stick together, show solidarity and respect the guidelines that have been set.
"They're so important at the moment and probably will be for a while, but if that's what it takes to get racing back, we will all adhere to that."
