Gordon Elliott has been forced to pull Glenloe out of next month's Cheltenham Festival.
The trainer has said the nine-year-old, who was well fancied for the Fulke Walywn Kim Muir Challenge Cup on the third day of the Festival, will not appear due to a "little setback".
Glenloe, who is owned by JP McManus, was a narrow runner-up at the 2018 Cheltenham Festival when edged out by a short head by stablemate Delta Work in the Pertemps Network Final Handicap Hurdle.
He appeared to be shaping up well over the winter with third and fourth-place finishes in December at Navan and Limerick but Elliott has had to accept defeat ahead of the Prestbury Park showpiece meeting.
He wrote on Twitter: "Unfortunately Glenloe will be missing this years Cheltenham Festival due to a little set back."
