Trainer Philip Hobbs believes Defi Du Seuil can win the Matchbook Clarence House Chase at Ascot on Saturday.
The six-year-old has been in form for the last couple of months after winning his last two races.
He secured the Shloer Chase at Cheltenham in November before crossing the line first in the Betfair Tingle Creek Chase at Sandown in December.
Since arriving from France, he has won 12 races for Hobbs, with two of those coming at the Cheltenham Festival.
Now he is primed for a run at Ascot over the weekend and Hobbs believes his charge can add another Grade One success to his impressive CV.
"I would have thought Ascot would suit him well. He copes with the undulations at Cheltenham fine and at Ascot you are going downhill the far side. He certainly copes with a stiff track, which Ascot is from Swinley Bottom to the line," said Hobbs.
"He is mentally and physically very tough and has such a fantastic attitude to life."
