Trainer Noel Meade says Road To Respect is set to contest the Grade 1 Savills Chase at Leopardstown on December 28.
Road To Respect also holds an entry in the King George VI Chase at Kempton on Boxing Day but Meade says the eight-year-old is more likely to head to Leopardstown.
"Road To Respect is in good form and the plan is to go to the Savills Chase," he told the Racing Post.
"Last season turned out to be a bit of an anti-climax for us with him after starting off very well. He wasn't the same horse after two runs at Leopardstown on good ground.
"Hopefully, the ground will be okay at Christmas and we can get him there to give a good account of himself."
Road To Respect won the 2017 edition of the race but finished third last year behind Kemboy and Monalee.
