Trainer Gavin Cromwell hopes Darver Star can cope with a step up in class in the Hatton's Grace Hurdle at Fairyhouse on Sunday.
Darver Star has won his last four races in a row but will face a big step up in the quality of opposition on Sunday.
Apple's Jade is bidding to win the race for a fourth time, while Lismullen Hurdle winner Bacardys, Killultagh Vic, Penhill and unbeaten mare Honeysuckle will all be involved at Fairyhouse.
"He's done nothing wrong, but this is a huge step up and it will be tough for him," said Cromwell.
"It's his last day as a novice, so we thought it was worth a go. It's nice to have a horse able to compete in these races."
