Harry Cobden claims he may have a difficult decision on his hands ahead of the Ladbrokes King George VI Chase on Boxing Day.
Having impressed on Cyrname in the Christy 1965 Chase at Ascot on Saturday, beating the highly-rated Altior on the way to victory, many would expect rider Cobden to side with Cyrname at Kempton on December 26.
However, stablemate Clan Des Obeaux is also expected to challenge and Cobden feels he will have a tricky decision to make.
"Cyrname looks fantastic," he said. "It was a fantastic day on Saturday - he beat Altior and we are all very proud of how the horse performed on the day. I am absolutely delighted.
"I certainly wouldn't get off Cyrname to ride Altior at Kempton now after Saturday. All our horses have needed a run this year as well. He was the best horse on the day - Altior might improve, we will have to see at Kempton.
"I wouldn't want Clan Des Obeaux half-a-length down on me turning in at Kempton because he wouldn't stop. He has obviously got a massive chance - he won the race last year."
