Trainer Philip Hobbs is lining up Gumball for the Unibet Greatwood Hurdle at Cheltenham, provided conditions suit.
Hobbs has won the race a joint-highest four times with Rooster Booster (2002), Detroit City (2006), Menorah (2010) and Garde La Victoire (2014) all previous winners of the November contest at Prestbury Park.
The five-year-old has won four times already this year, at Kempton, Lingfield, Salisbury and Ascot - the latest success coming last Saturday when holding off the challenge of Red Force One in the Listed Sodexo Handicap Hurdle.
Hobbs is hopeful Gumball will go in the November 17 race after his impressive display at Ascot.
He said: "Gumball is a possible runner in the Greatwood. The race is under consideration if ground conditions suit.
"I was delighted with his performance at Ascot last weekend and hopefully there is more to come now off his current handicap mark (147)."
