Despite all the hype surrounding the highly-rated Pinatubo, trainer Charlie Appleby claims his charge can go unnoticed at the stables.
The Darley Dewhurst Stakes at Newmarket on Saturday is fast approaching and there is plenty of excitement about what Pinatubo can achieve in the high-profile race.
Some have described the two-year as potentially one of the best in recent memory, however, for all the outside interest in the runner, Appleby says Pinatubo sometimes goes under the radar at Moulton Paddocks in Newmarket due to his calm temperament.
"At home he has been a pleasure to be around," said Appleby. "He is one of those horses you wouldn't notice in the string and that is probably why he has been doing what he has been doing, as he takes zero out of himself at home.
"Thankfully he turns up with his A-game on raceday."
