Pivoine is set to follow up his September Stakes disappointment by featuring in the Group Three Dubai Duty Free Legacy Cup at Newbury.
The five-year-old enjoyed success in the John Smith's Cup at York in mid-July, before featuring in the Arlington Million in Chicago.
Pivoine then had to settle for ninth from 12 runners in the September Stakes at Kempton earlier this month so the plan is to go back to around a mile-and-a-quarter on Saturday.
"I suspect he probably will go to Newbury," said Alastair Donald, racing manager for owners, King Power Racing.
"A mile and a quarter to a mile and three is his best trip - he just doesn't quite get a mile and a half and he got a very bad trip last time in the September Stakes, or else he would have gone quite close.
"There aren't many options for him, but it looks potentially quite suitable."
