Trainer William Haggas says Sea Of Class has been retired as she is suffering with a serious bout of colic.
The filly, who starred during the 2018 Flat season and nearly toppled Enable in last year's Qatar Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe, is receiving care and Haggas has confirmed the four-year-old will not return to the track again.
"It is with great regret that I have to announce that Sea Of Class underwent a colic operation on Wednesday, which will end her racing career," he told the Racing Post.
"At the moment she is at the vets and receiving intensive care and is doing everything as well as can be expected."
Sea Of Class managed four victories last season, including the Irish and Yorkshire Oaks, and was last seen when finishing fifth in the Prince Of Wales's Stakes at Royal Ascot last month.
