Aidan O'Brien believes Sergei Prokofiev is primed to give him an incredible 17th win in Sunday's Group 1 Phoenix Stakes.
The son of Scat Daddy heads up a four-strong team at the Curragh, with stablemates The Irish Rover, Gossamer Wings and So Perfect also entered, while Advertise represents British interest and Jessica Harrington provides competition with Indigo Balance.
Sergei Prokofiev finished third on his last run in the Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot but needs to turn the tables on Advertise, who took second behind Calyx.
Four straight wins in the Phoenix have taken O'Brien to 16 victories and the Coolmore handler believes his two-year-old is ready to add to his tally.
O'Brien said on At The Races: "He's a very fast horse and ran a great race at Royal Ascot. He's very well and we've always thought a lot of him, so we're looking forward to running him."
