Frankie Dettori will ride Luminate in the Prix de Diane at Chantilly on Sunday after being handed a late call.
Owners Highclere Thoroughbred Racing and trainer Freddy Head were hopeful of bringing in either Aurelien Lemaitre or Oliver Peslier.
However, the duo, who have both enjoyed success with Luminate earlier this season, are unavailable and Dettori has accepted the call.
Racing manager Harry Herbert insists it was an easy decision to bring in Dettori due to his strong record at Chantilly.
Herbert said: "When we knew Aurelien Lemaitre and Olivier Peslier, who had both ridden her this year, were booked, Freddy Head was quite keen to secure Frankie's services and I was very much on the same page as he rides Chantilly brilliantly.
"He is riding at the top of his game. It's very exciting to have Frankie."
