Trainer Colin Tizzard expects Finian's Oscar to be able to head to the Cheltenham Festival after minor surgery.
Tizzard's six-year-old underwent a wind operation after being pulled up in the Cleeve Hurdle, but the trainer feels the dual Grade One winner will be ready to compete at Prestbury Park next month.
"He has had his palate cauterised and is back cantering," he said, as reported by Sky Sports.
"With a minor operation like that you can have them back running in a month. He should be fine for Cheltenham."
Finian's Oscar holds entries in three races at the Cheltenham Festival; the Stayers' Hurdle, the JLT Novices' Chase and the RSA Chase.
