Bollin Line

(Unplaced, Sedgefield, 28/11/17)

Reverting to fences, he wasn't suited held up off a slow gallop when dropping from 2m5f.

Lucinda Egerton's consistent ten-year-old was chasing a four-timer after completing a hat-trick over hurdles. The latest success came at Ludlow two weeks earlier and the gelding was able to race off a 5lb lower chase mark here. Ridden with lots of confidence, Tony Kelly's mount was short of room during a sprint finish but put in good late work.

Dorella

(Unplaced, Wolverhampton, 29/11/17)

Eve Johnson-Houghton's 48,000 guineas half-sister to nine winners was easy to back but plugged on gamely on an impressive debut effort.

She was off the bridle before the home turn but showed a good attitude and connections will be hoping she can emulate her black type winning siblings. Racing in mid-division, the filly made headway over two-out before being ridden and hanging left over a furlong from home.

She didn't gain a clear run inside the final furlong but showed enough promise to suggest there are races to be won over similar trips.

Nick Lost

(Placed, Punchestown, 29/11/17)

Ran with plenty of promise on his return from 335 days off and looks one to follow very closely.

Henry de Bromhead's classy five-year-old was beaten favourite in a bumper won by re-opposing Minella Fair at Limerick on his previous start. Davy Russell's mount took a keen hold on his return to action, soon leading but that advantage was much reduced after the fifth. He was headed after two-out but shaped like he would come on for the run and it is worth giving another chance to.
