The National Hunt season now feels like it's in full swing and there have been several horses to have caught our eye over the past few weeks. This week, we will bring you our list of horses to watch out for in the months ahead following their runs in October.

Warren Greatrex is rapidly becoming one of the finest trainers on either side of the Irish Sea and he looks to have a very talented filly on his hands.

La Bague Au Roi made a smart winning debut in April at Newton Abbot and showed even greater improvement to win a Mares' bumper at Aintree on October 25th.

There was plenty of hype about her around the parade ring and, after speaking to Jumpers To Follow author Paul Ferguson, word was that Greatrex did not fear any of her rivals.

The hype proved to be spot on and she bolted to a seven-length victory under Harry Bannister, and she wasn't stopping at the line. She showed a sharp turn of foot, largely due to her pedigree being sired by former Hong Kong Vase winner Doctor Dino, out of a Turgeon mare.

Greatrex has since spoken of how highly he regards La Bague Au Roi. She's scheduled for a run in a Listed bumper at Huntingdon in December before heading for the Grade 1 Mares' bumper at Aintree in April.

Greatrex said she needs decent ground and isn't concerned if she does not run before Aintree - that is a statement that speaks volumes.
