Lightly Raced Gelding To Reward Patience
Daniel Loughnane's LORD MURPHY didn't run as a two year old and then was less than impressive on his first few races when only beating a total of five competitors in four attempts. March of this year, however, saw a massive improvement and he beat Sublimation and eleven others into second place at Wolverhampton after a less than clear run and then nearly repeated the dose at the same course a week later when just losing out to Sir Jamie by a nose. Those runs were off 46 and 51 and he is up just four pounds today as well as getting the assistance of top all weather pilot Adam Kirby. He is top on BTOPlus+ ratings, best-in under a couple of headings and gets two nice positives including his trainer's 28% better than expected at the distance. The switch of surface from Tapeta to Polytrack shouldn't be a problem as his sire Holy Roman Emperor gets a BTO positive for the going.
