Form Of Recent Win Ahead Of Rivals
A month ago at Leicester, CROSSPARK, a seven year old son of Midnight Legend, got up close home over two and a half miles to pip Always On The Run. He looked well beaten at one stage but stamina kicked in towards the last couple of furlongs and today's extra half a mile and Uttoxeter's uphill finish will suit - he's won a point to point and hurdle race over today's three miles. The form of that last race is excellent, with the third, Domesday Book coming out and winning the Kim Muir at Cheltenham this week. Though not rating him top (that goes to ROCK THE KASBAH who does, though, get four negatives), Crosspark gets five nice BTOPlus+ positives, including trainer Caroline Bailey's six from 28 over fences at the course (64% better than expected), her 30% return with last time out winners and jockey Adam Wedge's 25% win stat when riding such horses. AMERICAN is well rated on BTO but Crosspark's 6/1 looks an each way price in what is now a nine runner race.
